An Intelligent Solution
The ACS Terminal software operates several Tech Logic products. It is a versatile software system library staff can use for tag writing, circulation, and other tasks. ACS Terminal performs staff workstation and patron self-service functions, in addition to powering the Personal Payment System (PPS).
ACS Terminal uses a SIP protocal and a proprietary protocol for communications between it and a library's integrated library system.
Staff Workstation
As a staff only workstation, ACS Terminal allows you to write RFID tags using the assigned barcode for individual materials (Replication).
Library staff can also check in and check out materials, manually change the status of the anti-theft bit, and write patron/staff ID SmartCards.
Self-Checkout Station
On a self-checkout station, ACS Terminal allows patrons to check out materials without staff assistance. Patrons can use RFID or a barcode scanner. Patrons can also use ACS Terminal to check materials in.
ACS Terminal offers an easy touch screen for patrons and instructs an attached printer to print a receipt of material titles and their due dates when the patron completes a transaction.
Combo Station
ACS Terminal operates the Tech Logic Combo Station, which includes features of a staff workstation and a self-checkout station.
