Tech Logic Creates Two Sorting System Product Lines
QuickSort to serve needs of smaller libraries; UltraSort for large libraries

White Bear Lake, MN - March 11, 2008 - Now, libraries of all sizes can enjoy the benefits of a Tech Logic sorting system. Tech Logic has diversified its patented sorting systems into two product lines to fit the unique needs of different sized libraries.

QuickSortQuickSort
Tech Logic's new system for smaller libraries is QuickSort, a compact, turnkey sorting solution for libraries with limited funds and space. QuickSort, available in three and five bin sorting configurations, has all the advantages of a larger system -- without the cost and demand for space.

QuickSort is easy to implement and maintain, but is robust enough to process up to 2,000 books per hour. QuickSort functions 24/7. It includes a Hands-Free Book Drop with RFID or barcode checkin, a camera, speaker, and a receipt printer. From the book drop, QuickSort sorts and conveys items by location into economical bins or plastic library totes.

QuickSort places items in the correct bins for location; all library staff have to do is wheel the bins to the proper location for reshelving.

QuickSort is easily expanded to accommodate library growth.

UltraSortUltraSort
Tech Logic's legacy sorting system, installed in hundreds of libraries around the world, is now named "UltraSort." UltraSort is a sorting solution on a larger scale, engineered to meet the needs of busy libraries that require customized conveyance, multiple book drop induction points, and an array of sorting options. UltraSort incorporates bin sorting using Tech Logic's patented Smart Bins®, book placer systems that sort items directly onto book trucks, and loader/unloader docking stations for induction of interagency transfers. UltraSort uses large scale horizontal and vertical conveyors. These conveyors can, for example, feed items from a ground floor book drop into a library's sorting room on another floor. This makes it possible to transport items from any location in the library to wherever the sort room is located. The possibilities are endless and almost any configuration can be designed to accommodate new or existing buildings.
