Self-Service Redefined

Tech Logic redefines the concept of self-service, with features and station configurations that patrons actually use. The conventional self-service model unfortunately really means staff-assisted self service. Tech Logic's self-service model, on the other hand, helps ensure that patrons use self-checkout services. After all, isn't that what self-service is for?

Tech Logic's self-checkout combo stations (U.S. Patent 6,994,252), for example, allow staff members to easily assist a patron if a block occurs - without leaving the circuation desk. With our unique Personal Payment System (PPS), patrons can pay fines and fees during self-checkout, using either the optional Smart Card with stored cash value, using cash, or by the association of the patron's library card number to an account on your library's servers.

Patrons actually using self-service systems. Now's that's an idea whose time has come.
