Security: An Issue to be Alarmed About

Are you tired of your valuable library items disappearing? Theft is a costly problem for most libraries. And isn't it hard to have to tell a patron, who's eager to borrow a new item, that the item is unavailable?

Tech Logic Security Gates

Security Gates

Only Tech Logic can combine artisan quality workmanship with state-of-the-art technology. Tech Logic’s security gates are beautiful, but also contain stable, accurate digital electronics. The gates, built by master craftsman, have a timeless look that compliments your library’s style. Libraries of all sizes can use the gates, with configurations ranging from a single aisle gate walkway up to a six aisle walkway. Using RFID technology, your library can prevent theft and track patron usage.

How It Works

An item's security is disabled ONLY during checkout. The tag's security must be turned off before a patron can take the item from the library without setting off an alarm. With this type of security, we retrofit each of your exit doors with a set of security pedestals. The pedestals look for security that is still on. In this scenario, the security gate will sound an alarm informing the library staff that an item is being stolen.

A typical set of pedestal security gates can read up to 50 books per second, so the gates don't delay your patrons - and you don't lose precious library items.
