Eliminating the Issue of Blocks
The patron can be prompted by the block in any manner that you wish, because you have full control of the patron interface screens. If the block can be cleared, your staff person can handle this material individually without ending the patron's session. The system has two screens; one for the patron and one for the staff person. The staff person simply reviews the screen block and if necessary, he or she can turn off the patron screen. Once the staff person has cleared the block, the item is simply returned to the RFID antenna and the screen is returned to the patron to continue from the place where the block occurred.
