Team Member Spotlight: David Knosalla

Meet David Knosalla, Tech Logic’s Applications Engineer. His passion for technology, problem-solving, and hands-on innovation has fueled more than 11 years of success with the company. Starting in Customer Care in 2015, and later supporting both installations and customer service, David quickly discovered that one of his favorite parts of the job was experiencing the excitement customers had for new technology solutions.

In his current role, David specializes in system startups, product implementation, software imaging, and system readiness testing. He works closely with customers to ensure systems are programmed correctly, fully tested, and ready for successful deployment.

Known throughout Tech Logic for being kind, patient, reliable, and knowledgeable, David has earned the trust of both coworkers and customers alike. Whether guiding a library through a complex system startup or helping a teammate troubleshoot an issue, people know they can count on David to calmly lead them through any challenge with expertise and care.

To help us get to know David more, we asked him a few questions:

How did you come to work at Tech Logic? What attracted you to the role?

I had a buddy who was a Tech Logic installer. We worked on cars together. He knew that I liked working with computers and he encouraged me to apply for an open position. That recommendation turned into a career.

Prior to working at Tech Logic, I repaired computers. I’ve always been curious about how things work. My interest in technology started early—I built my first computer when I was thirteen. I’ve always enjoyed tinkering, taking things apart, understanding how they work, and figuring out how to improve or repair them.

What does your role at Tech Logic entail?

My primary responsibilities include performing factory acceptance testing and managing system start-ups for our AMH Systems, SCO Kiosks, and selfCIRC TRAK systems. I also collaborate closely with product management to set up and test new products, and I manage our RMA repairs and replacements process.

What do you think sets Tech Logic apart from other library technology companies?

I believe what truly sets us apart is our genuine, "People-First" mentality. We consistently strive to ensure our customers are completely satisfied with our products. We dedicate a lot of time to supporting our users, listening to their feedback, and continuously adapting our technology to meet the evolving needs of libraries.

What are you most proud of accomplishing at Tech Logic?

I’m proud of the engineering team and our contributions toward several large-scale system implementations and seeing the impact those solutions have had on our customers.

Outside of work, what would you like to share about yourself?

Most of my time outside of work is dedicated to my family, as I have three kids under the age of eight. However, when I do catch a free moment, I’ve recently taken up building and flying FPV drones. It’s been incredibly rewarding to take the skills I’ve learned on the job and apply them to programming and assembling the drones. Beyond that, I enjoy video games and have built several custom gaming PCs over the years, including a few with intricate, custom liquid-cooling setups.

Tech Logic connects libraries with their communities through dynamic, innovative, and efficient workflow technologies—delivering unparalleled service and outstanding patron experience. Since 1997, we have worked exclusively with libraries to develop solutions that empower library patrons and staff.
