Team Member Spotlight: DeSean Farris

Meet DeSean Farris, a member of our Assembly & Manufacturing team who brings a practical problem-solving mindset, a quick-learning attitude, and a positive energy to the shop every day. DeSean has been at Tech Logic since 2025.  

To help us get to know DeSean more, we asked him a few questions:

What is your role at Tech Logic?

My role includes putting conveyors together, building transfers, cutting belts to the right length, and working with various hardware needed to bring Tech Logic Automated Material Handling Systems together. One of my regular responsibilities is cutting and sizing conveyor belts and then lacing them together to get them ready for assembly.

What do you enjoy most about your job?

I like being active and working with my hands. Desk work is not really my thing. I also like my coworkers. I appreciate that there is trust here. We’re a small team that works well together and independently.  

What’s one word that describes you?

Adaptable. Growing up, I moved around quite a bit, which meant frequently finding myself as “the new kid on the block.” Learning how to adjust to new people, places, and environments became second nature.

That adaptability translates into my work at Tech Logic.

Whether I’m learning a new process, figuring out how something goes together, or working through a challenge, I feel comfortable jumping in and figuring things out. My previous experience working around equipment, including boom trucks, also helped give me a practical understanding of working with machinery and mechanical systems.

Outside of work, what would you like to share about yourself?  

I enjoy spending time with my daughter, who is 10. Being present for her and having more time together is something I’m proud of.

One of my hobbies is roller skating; I’ve been doing that since I was my daughter’s age. I also enjoy playing RPG games on my Xbox.
